The Anti-Ragging Monitoring Committee

Co-ordinate with the Anti-Ragging Cell of the CIs/OCC of HBNI to curb the menace of ragging.

Invite reports from the heads of the CIs/OCC in regard to the activities of the functionaries at their end.

Conduct orientation programmes, counselling sessions, the incidents of ragging, the problems faced by the wardens or other officials.

Keep a breast of the decisions of the District level Anti Ragging Committee.

Review the efforts made by the institutions to publicize anti-ragging measures, soliciting undertakings from parents and students for each academic year to abstain from Antiragging activities or willingness to be penalized for violations.

Function as the prime mover for initiating action on the part of the appropriate authorities of the Institute for amending its Statutes or Ordinances or Bye-laws as the case may be and to facilitate the implementation of Anti-Ragging measures at the level of the CIs/OCC.

Send the status reports periodically to the Ministry of Education Anti-ragging Cell at the frequencies laid down with the support on logistics and smooth functioning from the CIs/OCC.
